Rhonda
ST Liaison, SLP, MS | Speach Therapy
Rhonda Satterthwaite is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist at Littlefield and has been here for 5 ½ years. She graduated from University of Central Arkansas and has practiced for 30 years. Rhonda became interested in speech pathology following her father’s brain injury when she was in high school. She saw the tremendous progress he made with his speech and wanted to make a difference helping people who had difficulties with speech and language. Her first job was working with children in preschool and she realized she wanted to work in pediatrics. She has training in a variety of speech programs including PROMPT for apraxia, DIR approach to language, SOS Feeding approach, and Hanen “More than Words” approach to language. She loves being a mentor to both therapists and parents and finds working with children so rewarding. LPT was the best fit due to the great importance placed on collaborating with other therapists, using sensory integration techniques paired with language to teach the ‘whole child’, and educating parents to continue learning at home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming, cooking, and dancing.
